All-Purpose Aloe Vera

The Aloe Vera plant is now cultivated worldwide for it’s many and varied uses; from shampoos to soaps to lotions. It is a beautiful plant to behold and has been used for so many years before its commercialization, especially by our Rastafarians, for the same purposes that it is now bottled and sold. This one sits in a beautiful pot on my front porch and is used mainly for decoration. I once saw a friend peel one of these stalks and then proceeded to eat the pulp as though it were a Watermelon. I decided to try this and…..eeuuughhh! Never again!
The pulp though is bottled locally and sold on our beautiful sandy shores to tourists who use it as sun-block. I think that is where it should go…on the OUTSIDE!
